So for another short post I wish to talk about Monsanto some more the biggest supplier of GMO food, weed killer roundup and probably the ones who posses the biggest danger to the world. They come to mind because a friend of mine and I were talking about the dangers which things such as global warming could possibly pose to the world. But I’ve come to believe in all honesty that people such as Monsanto and the corrupt FDA who work for them are a bigger threat then anything else ever is. Not only have there been leaked cables from places such as Wikileaks proving that FDA employees work for Monsanto but also the new head of the FDA used to work for Monsanto. On top of this Monsanto has been responsible for a host of problems. GMO corn crops have escaped at least six times in the last few years and cross mixed with none GMO plants. New research is also proving that growing problem of colony collapse disorder a condition which is causing bee hives to fail all across the country is being caused by the use of the weed killer round up. This is a huge problem because bees are responsible for helping to pollinate over a hundred different fruits and vegetables. Along with this the failed use of weed killers has grown super weeds which are resistant to the current round up. The use of round up has increased over three hundred fold since GMO plants were first introduced and research has shown that roundup even in low levels is very toxic and dangerous to humans. Not only this round up persists in plants and the environment for very long amounts of time. GMO foods have also been shown in multiple studies to be bad for health as animals fed GMO food such as corn or tomatoes have suffered dozens of health side effects. To me Monsanto is a much bigger threat then something like global warming with how their GMO and weed killers are toxic and dangerous. Worse off places such as the FDA, USDA and other government agencies continue to ignore mounting evidence of the danger they pose to all of us.
