I credit political books with playing a big part in helping to teach me a lot of the stuff I know today. Some of the books I read were more subtle in the stuff they told me such as books written by George Orwell. Other books were ones written by people such as Harry Browne which had a major impact on me and my life. Either way I figured that it would be good to recommend some of the same writing that helped get me started this way to begin with. So this site will also be dedicated toward giving honest reviews about political writing which is worth checking out. There tends to be a ton of books out there so it can be a bit difficult sorting the good stuff away from the bad. And no I don’t believe that you automatically need to read stuff like this to give yourself a true understanding of the most pressing issues we face. Truthfully as long as you have an internet connection along with a open mind you should be able to accomplish this. But a lot of good stuff has been written especially by people who are extremely passionate about this stuff or they have been doing it for a very long time. Reading books honestly helped to teach me about a lot of things including inflation, government spending, debt, social security and a lot of other subjects. If you ever have any suggestions, ideas, thoughts or anything else which you feel should be added here or would be good fit for political books you can always feel free to let me know.
